Director of Development Position at WADA: Cultivate Creativity and Community Impact! 🌟

Overview:
The Warehouse Arts District Association (WADA) invites applications for the position of Director of Development—a pivotal role dedicated to spearheading our fundraising initiatives and ensuring the long-term financial sustainability of our organization.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate will be a dynamic and outgoing relationship-builder entrusted with fostering partnerships and driving fundraising efforts on behalf of the organization. The Director of Development will play a central role in formulating and implementing a strategic growth plan, taking charge of fundraising events, acting as a public representative for WADA, and fostering seamless cross-functional collaboration with other teams.

Responsibilities:

🌐 Multi-Year Capital Campaign:

  • Devise and implement a comprehensive multi-year capital campaign.
  • Strategically plan and execute fundraising activities to meet financial goals.

👥 Annual Fundraiser Development:

  • Lead the planning and execution of an annual fundraising event.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a successful fundraiser.

🤝 Donor Relationship Building and Stewardship:

  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with donors and supporters.
  • Develop and implement stewardship programs to engage and retain donors.

📣 Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:

  • Serve as the ambassador for WADA in interactions with donors and stakeholders.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external partners.

📊 Financial Oversight and Reporting:

  • Manage financial aspects of development activities.
  • Provide regular reports on fundraising progress and financial performance.

🎯 Collaborations and Partnerships:

  • Collaborate with external organizations to enhance fundraising efforts.
  • Establish and foster partnerships that contribute to the organization’s success.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in development and fundraising.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Background in arts, culture, or entertainment is advantageous.
